I would like to extend my sincere condolences to your family. For your loss, there are no words that can ease the pain of loosing someone you love. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory. Because they are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:5.

Steve was a very unique and energetic guy who thought outside the box and lived life his way. He was an excellent athlete who was always up to a challenge. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Steve was a really unique and upbeat person who never hesitated to take on a challenge. It was in his nature to be different and to do things his own way. But he never stepped on anyone's toes and was always enthusiastic and supportive of his friends. Steve was a very good athlete @Bishop Eustace and contributed well on all the teams he played on. He was definitely too young to leave us and will be missed but not forgotten.

First met Steve Sept. 1965 at Bishop Eustace. Always a great team mate and great friend. Shared many good times at Eustace and later in life. Always positive and energetic. My condolences to his family. I will miss my friend and will cherish his memory.

Govie was a good friend and spirited. He will be sorely missed. May his family be consoled by the memory of that spirit. We shared many good times and many memories at Eustace and beyond. We were teammates through four losing football seasons but my first thought when reading the sad news was of Steve and football. First play from scrimmage at St. James. They run a trick pass play where the QB and everyone goes right but one receiver who goes left behind the line. QB stops and turns to throw back to the left. Govie reads it perfectly, intercepts the ball and runs into the end zone. The smile on his face during the run and celebratory high fives was indescribably BIG. I'll remember that smile!
