To the Graves Family,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Graves. I worked for him early in my engineering career at Evan-Graves Associates from '83 -'86 before relocating to Florida. I always had the utmost respect for John as an engineer, businessman and as a person. He and his firm had a positive impact on my career. A well-lived life!

Very sad to hear of the passing of John. He was a school mate at AIC and member of our football team. And I recall he was easy going and an all around nice guy. God speed John... Joe Anding and family

The passing of John will leave a great space in the lives of all he touched. John was a treasured mentor giving me advise I have taken on my own long journey through life. His advise, his friendship, and his presence stand tall. Our prayers are for the peace of God which passes all understanding to overwhelm, uplift, and embrace John's family and those who love him until we are all forever reunited in His presence.

Dearest Cynthia and Family, I can’t even imagine your shock, loss and grief at this moment. Both Jim and I have mourned JAG all week. He was a friend, Father figure, leader and mentor. It’s so obvious in your family that you both created. What a beautiful life the two of you created. I cry as I write this. I know there are limits giving the current Covid situation and gatherings. Jim and I will reach out to you to spend an evening celebrating JAG when you have some time to yourself after things settle down. Our heart is with all of you. Xoxo Carol Woodworth

Our hearts are heavy, but our spirits consoled knowing that Johnny is is peace with his Maker and those who have passed before him. Our parents Dobby and Monkee and Stan and Harriet welcomed him with loving hearts for sure, and there will never be a day without celebration inside the pearly gates as Johnny orchestrates parades and festivities on God's behalf - all at the largest dining table every conceived! Wish we could be there in person to share hugs and remembrances. We will be there virtually and in spirit with all of you. Jace, Buster, Jennifer, Thomas, Cristin and Cathryn

More inspiring than granite monuments and more valuable than vaults of gold, John partnered with Cynthia to build and leave behind a family taught by example that “Doing Well While Doing Good” is life’s greatest reward. Thank you, John and Cynthia.

John Graves was a true friend to many and a devoted family man. He was a very gifted engineer while showing his soft side with a genteel smile. If you were fortunate enough to count John as a friend, you were divinely blessed. His physical presence will be missed but his impact remains timeless. We love you, Tommy and Theresa Martinez

I just want to offer my condolences to the family of John Graves. I first met John in 1973 when Edward E. Evans hired me as an apprentice draftsman (after I agreed to get my hair cut). I remember John as a very intelligent, gentle, soft spoken man that treated everyone with dignity, respect and fairness. He will be missed by many.
