John Dale Green

John was one of the few who were brave enough to train and let me fly "close" formation in the Rino and the Eagle. Much different thrust response. He even let me fly on the wing IMC down to minimums and land. He had nerves of steel and I am honored to have been his Friend.

John Green is who we all want to be like, and be remembered as he is. He had a gentle, commanding presence. His cockpit was just so professional, you made a note sitting next to him, "This is how I want to be when my time comes to be a Captain". His dear wife, Carol, flew with him a lot, and they were perfect complements to each other. We are diminished by his passing.

My good friend and DC-9 simulator and flight training partner was and awesome pilot and a very close friend for many years in our airline careers. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. Praying for you Carol.

John, you have set a high bar for all your contemporaries, and we all shared a great respect for you professionally and personally. You have earned the great reputation that all your contemporaries held for you. I hope to see you again my friend.
Carol, I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend and companion. Only time will allow your grief to ease and bring back memories of your great years together.

So sorry to hear of John's death. I did not know John closely but very much respected him as a Culver Classmate and fellow Officer. He obviously lead an exceptional life.
