I had the pleasure of volunteering with John on our neighborhood association board and for various political campaigns. He was the steady hand that guided us through both placid and stormy waters with his wisdom, wit and willingness to work hard. He is missed dearly.

So sad. John was always so generous and welcoming. I loved him very much.
