Our hearts go out to all of John's family. He and DeeDee and we (Sharon and myself) have been neighbors for decades. We had the good fortune of having Ding Hill involve John as the "admissions committee" when we bought her house. We have treasured his gentle nature, his sense of humor and his goodwill, not to mention his mastery of the oral history of Mead Point and our home in particular. All this is notwithstanding that we are from the wrong schools (Harvard, Princeton, Randolph Macon College for Women).

We will miss him.

Your Dad was one of major reasons why Boys and Girls Clubs of America has been able to help so many youth in our country. A little bit of his generosity lives in the thousands of kids who are better citizens today because of him. Thank you all for sharing your Dad with us.
