John Paul Gronendyke, father, and skilled mechanic, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 21, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to Paul and Betty Gronendyke, John lived a life marked by quiet dedication, deep curiosity, and a natural ability to understand how things work. John was the oldest of six siblings and a thoughtful, caring brother to Nancy, Mark, Steve, Jim, and David. On November 2, 1974, John married Nancy Laura Bolster. They were married 51 years and raised two daughters, Amy and Sheri. John's marriage and family who were his greatest pride. He graduated from Southeastern Regional High School in Easton, Massachusetts, in 1972 and went on to work for many years at Metal Bellows in Foxboro. After leaving Metal Bellows, John and his family relocated to Fishers, Indiana. There he continued his working life primarily as a truck driver, delivering materials across Indiana and Illinois. John had a lifelong gift for mechanics. His quiet, thoughtful problem-solving shaped the way he moved through life. John had a sharp sense of humor. As well, he was deeply loyal and caring to those close to him. His wit and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife Nancy; his daughters, Amy, Sheri, and son-in-law Kevin Depew; also his siblings Nancy, Mark, Steve, Jim, and David.
