In memory of
Becky and Rex Wood
November 1, 2007
Dear Kathy and the Grunden family,
Rex and I send all of our thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this time of sorrow. We were so sad to read of his passing in the ASC newsletter. You and John welcomed us to All Saints and always provided us with support and counsel. I always looked forward to seeing the two of you at choir practice and I just pray that one day I will have as much deep and truly genuine faith, character and love as the two of you have always had and shared with all. With love,
Eric Vasey

Kathy and Family,
I worked with John on the G-2 Pentagon contract. He was a caring, fair and resourceful boss. He set the example and will be remembered and missed. Genevieve and I have hospice experience. We know that all the training in the world can not mitigate such a loss. We deeply regret Johns passing and trust that time will heal.

Dear Kathy, Eric and Kevin
We are so sorry for your loss. No one knows better than you and your families what a fine and caring man John was. However, we would also like you to know that so many of us were influenced by him and considered it a privilege to have known him and to have served with him. John will always be remembered as smart, funny, a highly respected military officer, and a man of honor. His personal life and actions were examplars for everyone. May God bless you and your families.

I had the privilege of taking care of LTC Grunden near the end of his struggle against pancreatic cancer. His faith and determination in the face of such adversity were inspiring. I mourn his loss, and I wish we had more effective treatments for this awful disease.
