David, it will be a month that you have left us to explore the vistas of eternity and beyond. Today, I got some of the earthly things that I gave you over the years...a couple of sweaters, that dark burgundy American Eagle Outfitter pullover that looked so good on you, some old cards and children's books, and that Cutty Sark blown glass gift I bought you in England back in 1986. It's strange to see those things now...long forgotten about many of them, so many memories. I am going to put them away into my storage until I finish sorting out what I need to sort through and then I will decide what to do with them. You know what I mean now. Wishing things could have been so different but I am starting to understand. Missing you...

David, I looked up at the Christmas Star and wondered where you are. Death brings freedom and freedom brings death. Until we meet again...I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to sow and time to reap what has been planted. A time to love and a time for peace...(Eccl. 3:1)
Rest in peace David!
