I have many good memories of John, mainly through my years at Denali, as a caring/supportive parent, as a member of the District's Maintenance team (he always took time with me to discuss or explain projects), and swapping stories of keeping snakes as pets. More recently, he helped me with advice and guidance on electrical hookups and bulb selection at Brown's. At all times, he was positive, kind and patient. His love for his family and joy being around his girls and grandchildren was readily evident. My thoughts and prayers with the whole family. It was a privilege to know John and I know he is special in your lives. He certainly made an impression upon me.

I was a friend of John's when he lived in West Sacramento, but unfortunately lost contact with him so many years ago. I now live in Jonesborough, TN so word of John's passing was slow to find me.
I am so sorry to hear that John passed, and hope that his family is carrying on the best they can. John was a very interesting guy as a teenager and young man. I recall he was an avid Sea Scout, and always liked to wear his dark blue pea coat. John was a cerebral kind of young man and we had several discussions about life and our youthful romances - he was a fun friend. After reading his life story, I was cheered up to see what an unique set of life experiences he pursued and enjoyed. Good for John! He made the most of his time while he was here and that's a wonderful thing in itself.
Please accept my sincere condolences about losing your husband, father, brother and friend.
Love

I had the pleasure of meeting John while purchasing some electrical items at Browns electric. During the purchase we exchanged names and i said to him, my dad worked with a fella with the same name as yours and i also had worked with him as Teamsters long ago. Come to find out it was his uncle John Hall II. I left the store thinking how much he reminded me of his uncle John 'Barbee". My condolences to all of the Halls for your families loss. Only met the man once and left there feeling like we had know each other much longer. Rest in peace Mr Hall.
