Benjy and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Jacks passing. It won't be the same in Florida without seeing his smiling face and hearing his friendly voice by the pool. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Elise and Benjy Rew

Dear Shirley,
We were truly saddened to read of Jack's passing in the Cape Cod Chronicle today. We have such pleasant memories of him, chatting with him on our daily walks through the neighborhood and at the Pleasant Trowel. He was always so cheerful and "up-beat". Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Fondly, Doris & Joe Mee

Dear Shirley ~ I was so very saddened to hear about Jack. I liked him a lot. He was such an outgoing friendly man. He made me feel so "at home" when I would visit Florida during my February break. As I watch the Summer Olympics, especially Michael Phelps, I think of Jack doing his laps in the pool. I know he will be missed. Please accept my deepest condolences. Treasure all your wonderful memories. I know there are many and they can never be taken away. Sincerely, Ginny Balicki Westwood, MA

Shirley, Debbie & Dana, we were so sorry to hear about Jack. We have such wonderful memories of spending time at your home in Concord; your beautiful yard & of course, the coolest fish tank ever. from the day the doors opened up at the pleasant trowel, Mr. Harding was a "teacher" to me and my father. We had a xmas tradition of always getting our xmas tree from the Pleasant trowel and mr. harding was always so kind and patient and helped me pick it out. Of course it would take about an hour in half, but mr. harding loved christmas and loved helping pick out the "perfect tree. he nickedmnamed me the "xmas tree girl' and it stuck in my family. the corner of route 28 has never been the same nor as beautiful as when mr. harding had his pleasant trowel. I've missed them since they closed and i will miss Mr. harding even more. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a kind and very happy man, he was the "godfather' of plants!
my sincere condolences to mrs. harding and her family.
love, Betsy Curran

We have a lot of great memories of Uncle Jack, Aunt Shirley and Debbie coming to NH for visits. We laughed until we cried with stories Dad (Buzz) used to tell about his "little brother" (Jack). He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Shirley, Debbie & Dana and boys.
