I have lost my hero.....God has gained a man to do the job that he felt that only John Harris could handle. I can take solace in the fact that, because of the way he lived his life, with love of family, friends, his country, and....his God, his ticket to heaven was punched long ago! Love you Bro!

Just heard today from Marvin Thews about Johnny's passing. My deepest sympathy. Lots of fond memories with Johnny and Effies family.

Dear Judy, John and Jennifer..my thoughts and prayers are with and the rest of your family. Johnny was an amazing husband and father, and my heart goes out to you in your grief !

I always thought a lot of Johnny. He was pleasant to be around and always a gentleman. I'm sure that he will be missed greatly.

Uncle Johnny was very special to everyone. He had a smile that would light up a room. My mother loved her baby brothers so much. RIP!

Sympathy is extended to the family. I worked at Burlington Industries in Clarksville, Va. also. He was a nice gentleman.
