John HINCH Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 12, 2004.
HINCH, John Edward July 18, 1931 - September 9, 2004 John departed his devoted, loving wife and family while sleeping. His courage, strength and love for his family and friends will be greatly missed; never forgotten. John spent his life as a carpenter/superintendent. He was always building; teaching the young ones in the family, skills, dedication and determination. John spent his last months in the U of A Hospital where he proudly explained many features of the building as he had supervised construction at the hospital. Years of building, boating snowmobiling and sharing with his family at the lake are cherished memories. John leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his wife Hannah, children Cheryl Haworth (Wayne), Larry Finstad, Dianne Douglas (Barry), Sandra Dohei (Ed), Tom Finstad (Linda), Maureen Cronin (Leon), Ken Finstad (Shelley), 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sister Rita Borle (Gerard), brothers Dave (Cheryl), Nowell (Shirley), Tom (Corenne), as well as Kathleen and Greg Linaker, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Phyllis, brother Ben (Claudette) and grandson Trent Cross. We thank the staff at 3E4 U of A Hospital for their exceptional care, friendship and support. A celebration of John's life/Memorial Service will be held September 15, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., Richmond Park Church, 9340 - 69 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Serenity Funeral Service, 5311-91 St. 450-0101. Condolences: www.serenity.ca Your Community Owned Not For Profit Society'
