I am truly shocked and am so sad to hear John had passed. He was my babysitter for years and a neighbor of mine in IH. I remember great memories and his silly vivacious personality that made him so easy to be around and he always had such an amazingly positive and joyful outlook on everything that life presented to him. He was a one of a kind and his memory will live on through all those who's lives he has touched. John, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

November 12, 2010

Ron and Paula, Jesse Helmlinger and mom, Debbie send our deepest sympathy to your family. We were unaware of the fight John was enduring this past year. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Debbie(Gabriel) Burns and Jesse Helmlinger

My sincere condolences go to the entire Hoffman family and all of John’s friends. I remember John from grade school and high school, and all of the memories I have are nothing but positive ones. He was truly a remarkable individual with a glowing spirit and loving heart. I lost my Godmother a few years ago to brain cancer and vividly remember how emotional the end of her life journey was not only for her but our entire family. And I know there are no words to ease the pain you are feeling during this time but just remember there are people here to support each of you, a God to listen to all of your prayers and everlasting memories of John’s smile to carry you through. May you all find some comfort in knowing John is now an Angel watching over us all.

Dear Hoffman family,

John was, without question, one of the most kind-hearted people I've ever met in my life. Back when we swam together, he was the guy who always told me I was capable of better things. I deeply admired him, and still do. Take some solace in knowing that I'm one of many people John touched in such a way. Our deepest, most sincere sympathies.

November 4, 2010

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman, Melinda and family,
I had the pleasure of meeting John several times through my son, Jeff Miragliotta, who clerked with him in Monmouth County. I was so impressed with his pleasant personality, kind smile and poise. Jeff always spoke of his great sense of humor and the fun they had at the Courthouse. I have thought about him often over the last year and my heart goes out to all of you. His accomplishments were so many in such a short time - more than most will ever achieve. I hope you find some comfort in knowing that John made such a wonderful and lasting impression on everyone he met and is truly a son, husband and brother to be proud of in every way. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Ron, Paula and Entire Hoffman Family: Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you at this time of sorrow. Our treasured memories of John are from his extremely young soccer days (4-12 yrs age). However, Chris and I both had the pleasure of running into him on the sidewalk in downtown Toms River this summer and were very excited to see what a wonderful young man he had grown into. He was so excited to fill us in on his siblings young adult lives as well. He always carried that wonderful smile. Keep in mind always that "When someone you love becomes a memory, The memory becomes a Treasure". Our prayers are with you and your family.

November 3, 2010

Dear Paula and Ron, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The last time we saw John was when he was clerking for Tony. What a wonderful young man you raised. Dear Ron, Paula, Melinda, Jodi, Greg and Teddy: I cannot begin to know the depth of your pain, but after seeing the photo album online, I can feel the love you have for John and each other. You have a wonderful family. I do not have words for this, but I read something that seems to describe the person John was: "When through one man a little more love, a little more goodness, a little more hope, a little more beauty, a little more joy, and a little more faith has come into the world, then that man's life has had meaning." You are all in my thoughts and my heart.
