John Hoyle Obituary

John G. (Guil) Hoyle Jr.

AGE: 69 • Newtown, PA

Guil Hoyle, 69, of Newtown, PA, formerly of Wanamassa, NJ, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at home, after losing a courageous battle with a long term illness. Guil was born to John G. Hoyle and Elizabeth Barton Hoyle and raised in Middletown, NJ. He attended Middletown North High School and served in the Marine Corps from 1961 to 1964. Guil was a self-employed contractor in Monmouth County for many years. He married Judith Ann Conklin in 1964 and, though they divorced in 1994, remained close. Guil has two children with Judith, John G. Hoyle III, Esq., Interlaken and Matthew Kingsley Hoyle, Oakhurst. Guil is also survived by his beloved Frani Gentille, daughters-in-law, Kimberlee Hoyle and Meghan Hoyle and five beautiful grandchildren, Max, Zack, Reese, Landon and Major. Guil is also survived by his sister, Linda Dobson DeRussy, and her children Ted, Betsy and Peter Dobson, and his brother, Rene E. DeRussy Hoyle IV and his children.

In his youth, Guil was a semi-finalist for the New York Golden Gloves boxing title and raced sports cars with S.C.O.D.A. Guil was happiest sharing his love for auto racing with his son, John, and on the sidelines of his son Matt's football games in Ocean Township.

Though we didn't hear it enough in recent years, we will miss the sound of his laughter.

There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Immediate HomeCare and Hospice, 2920 Olga Ave., Bensalem, PA 19020.
