John Jeko, age 74 of Hooks, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Jeko was born December 28, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio. He was retired from Easley Trucking, was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jeko, parents, Joseph and Helen Jeko and a brother in law, Martin Ruff.
He is survived by a daughter Dawn and husband Robert Wagner of Oregon, Ohio, a son, Dwayne Jeko of Oregon, Ohio, Step Daughter, Tonya and husband Scott Farrar of New Boston, Texas, three sisters, Barbara and husband David Flint, Mary Ann Ruff, Patricia and husband Edward Jeziorowski all of Toledo, Ohio, a brother, James and wife Elaine Jeko of Bishopville, South Carolina, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a number of other relatives and friends.
Local cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston. There are no services at this time.

Jek, you started out as a customer during your remodel, and became my friend. You are a great guy who I'll miss seeing very much. Guess by now you and Peggy are enjoying a cup of coffee at that big truck stop in the sky. Roll on brother, roll on.
