The one and only person that God allowed to impact the lives of so many, for seemingly a short period of time. Your wit, wisdom, and mastery in communicating with all mankind won favor with our God. Will miss you and be forever grateful for your friendship at the VA and for having the opportunity to introduce you to the Wondrous band of the men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc......... See you later!

My brother from another mother .... I been thinking about all our great talk since we got out of the military. It's been an honor and a privilege knowing a great brother in this life time. When I come to join you be waiting to pick back up our great time together again. Rest in peace my brother!

Coach Kirk had such a keen sense of humor. He was always smiling and had something crazy to say. He was a great motivator and always had encouraging words. He will truly be missed. I pray that God comfort his family and friends hearts. RIP hero. You will never be forgotten! HOOAH!! ARMY STRONG! The Rockett Family

"No Should've, could've, would've...Every now and again the good Lord will stop by and show his might. We don't get to choose who HE will choose. But we all must be reminded we're only here for a short time and a gift. Best life, no substitute for it. Find it, grab it, embrace it and start living it today" John Kirk

My dearest friend,
Im going to miss our stimulating, deep, serious, funny or stupid conversations. You knew how to keep me grounded and taught me how to consider things from different perspectives.
It has been less than a week since your travel to Heaven and the void of your presence in my life is already deeply felt.
John, I miss you and will always treasure our friendship. Rest my dear friendGreat Job!
