I'm so sorry to hear of Big John's passing. I haven't seen him in many years but I have so many great memories of him from when John and I were growing up. As John mentioned, I also remember being thrown into the pool like a ragdoll. Everybody that knew him loved him.

So many great times with with John and Lou at the campground, he was the grill master he even had a grill made for us. I remember he would fill the van with so much alcohol and bring it up for our end of the season parties he was so generous and kind. I will cherish the memories for eternity. All my Love Laurie

So sorry for your loss, Johnny and Tony I remember your dad going to the store and buying groceries (we'd help carry them in) then he would go to work , and all of us (the crew) would raid the fridge and when he got home he would yell at us and then play catch in the front yard with us ... He will be missed.

It´s hard to put into words what it feels like to say goodbye to a father who was truly one of a kind. He was my first coach-on the baseball field and in life. He taught me discipline, grit, and the value of never giving up.
He was the guy who threw me what felt like 20 feet in the air in our backyard pool, and somehow trusted gravity enough to always catch me. He showed me how to fish, camp, hunt for mushrooms, and find peace in the outdoors. He got me my first job, backed me when I joined the Navy, even though he was a proud Air Force vet, and always led with quiet strength and a full heart.
He came from a big, loving family (7 siblings) and his parents were salt of the earth. I carry a piece of all of that with me.
I´ll miss you, Dad. Thank you for everything. You gave me a strong foundation, a steady compass, and a lifetime of memories. I hope I make you proud.
Fly high, old man. The sky was always yours.
Love,
John III
