John Edward Kosin, Jr.

John Edward Kosin, Jr., passed away unexpectedly at home on December 16, 2022. John was born on February 11, 1966, in Steubenville, Ohio the son of John E. Kosin. Sr. and Patricia Kruise Kosin. A 1984 graduate of Canfield High School he continued his education at ITT Technical Institute earning an associate degree. John was employed in the maintenance department of Spirex/Xaloy LLC for twenty-five years. A Catholic by faith, John was known for his work ethic and generosity of time and talent. He was an avid Penn State fan, enjoying yearly trips with his father, brother, and nephew to cheer on the Nittany Lions. He loved nature spending time repelling off the New River Gorge bridge on bridge day and fishing for bass and walleye. A devoted uncle to Reed, Blake, and Taylor he joined his family for vacations at Bethany Beach. He is survived by his parents, brother Mark and his wife Sam Kosin, nephews Reed and Blake Kosin, niece Taylor Kosin. He will be missed by several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins, as well as many friends and coworkers. John will be laid to rest next to his grandparents at St. Michael's Cemetery, Du Bois, Pennsylvania. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023, at Lane Funeral Homes - Austintown Chapel from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
