John Krudwig Obituary
John leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Geri Krudwig; his brother, Jim Krudwig of Oronoco; his two sons, Mike of Lino Lakes, Minn., Sean of Rochester; four daughters, Teri of Alabama, Sonia of Iowa, Ann of Rochester and Kim of Florida; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dolores Krudwig of Rochester; and two sisters, Jean Feldt of Duluth and Barbara Rabehl of Rochester.
John was born in Rochester on Dec. 17, 1933, where he resided until 2014, then relocated to Hayfield. He graduated from Central High School in 1953, and played hockey and football, and was an avid swimmer.
John worked as a union plumber for more than 40 years until retirement in 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling and antique car club shows.
Services will be held at Autumn Ridge/ Timothy Chapel, 3611 Salem Road SW, Rochester, Minn., on Thursday, Feb. 18. A prayer service will be from 4 p.m. 5 p.m., and visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life gathering following the service will be at Fraternal Order of Eagles 917, 15th Ave. SE, Rochester, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic Kidney Transplant Center, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905.

God Bless from an old friend of John's. I've known the Krudwig family for nearly 65 yrs., going back to White Bridge. He was a trooper.

Hi Geri, I was shocked to hear of your loss. I was out of town in AZ (ironically one of the visits was to my uncle in Lake Havasu. I thought of you and John when I was there)I know how much you love John and will miss him. Don't you dare head back east before we go out for drinks. CO bulldogs maybe? Love Heidi Meldahl.
