John Adriaan Kruyne

John Adriaan Kruyne, born on December 15, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Jacobus and Elsa Kruyne, passed away on August 17, 2024. Baptized and confirmed on January 19, 1961 at Gospel Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI, John was a man of faith and family. He graduated from Tucson AZ School for Boys in 1957 where he played polo and went on to complete his business degree at Marquette University in Milwaukee, after attending Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA. John also served in the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

John's life was a testament to love and dedication, having married Janet Beckemeier on June 11, 1961, and sharing 63 years of marriage. His career as a supervisor took him and his family to various states, enriching their lives with diverse experiences.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, and their children: Jack Kruyne (Jacklyn), Jill Shafranski (Michael), Jamie Gipp (Mitchell), and Jon Kruyne (Jennifer). His legacy continues through his nine grandchildren: Payton Leigh Gipp (Jamie), Julian Mitchell Kruyne (Jack), Delaney Beth Gipp (Jamie), Jack Adriaan Shafranski (Jill), Jade Lily Kruyne (Jack), Leo James Shafranski (Jill), Jasper Mathias Kruyne (Jon), Katherine Emma Shafranski (Jill), and Johanna Catherine Kruyne (Jon).

John's passions were as vast as his love for his family. He had a profound love for horses, particularly wild mustangs, and was an avid traveler. His expertise as a master scuba diver instructor allowed him to explore the depths of the world's oceans. His hobbies also included among others Corvette shows, photography and woodworking, a skill he honed with great care.

John Adriaan Kruyne's life was a journey of exploration, love, and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.

A celebration of life service will take place on Tuesday, August 20th at 12:30 PM, preceded by a visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, located at the Lutheran Church of the Living Christ, 110 N Gammon Rd, Madison, WI 53717.
