I am very sorry to hear of John´s passing. John and I both pledged Sigma Chi at Ohio Wesleyan University in 1953. He had transferred in from Lehigh and was a sophomore when I first met John. I remember quite distinctly how John helped me get through Analytic Geometry. I am most regretful that we did not have an opportunity to renew our friendship over the years. I send my sincere condolences to his family.

As one of John's fellow board members at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, I will always remember him to be a kind, generous, and good humored man. It was always a joy to be around him. He will be missed.

My colleague and friend, Allison, and I met John and Carole sitting at the Marriott Marquis Lounge in NYC after a broadway show. There was no stopping the banter back and forth about what we had seen and what we did for day jobs. Education was the common denominator and we became fast friends that evening. His smile and fun personality said it all. At ease with three outgoing, opinionated women was what impressed me the most. Carole and her daughter, Linnea, and Allison and I continued our relationship over the years. Though I only had that one encounter with John, it is no surprise from his beautifully written obituary that he was extremely successful as a businessman. As husband and soulmate to Carole and the center of the family that he loved, it is apparent he had a happy, long life. Our sympathies to the family. His legacy will always be a part of your hearts and his memory will bring joy for generations to come. Carol and Noel Leary
