My condolences to Mr. Lamourex's family and friends. He was a wonderful teacher. I had him for my 5th grade teacher and took part in the math program. I still have my super duper math test too. I remember winning the whole thing that he did each year and I still have the stuffed kangaroo and award I won. HE will forever be missed, but never forgotten. A great man, his family should be proud. Glad I had the chance to know him. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

There are few teachers that can leave such an impression on a student even 30+ years later.
The super math exams in which you had to score 7 perfect 100’s in a row were the hallmark of Mr. Lamoureux’s , classroom. What followed was your moment in front of the class as you were presented an award that was professionally printed with your name on it. I still have mine and think of it often. For a fourth grader it was a big deal, and each time he made the experience an event of your own and one that you would remember for a lifetime.
May he rest in peace and that his family take comfort of what he meant to so many of his fomer students.

Barbara, Pat and I are very sorry to hear of john's passing....I always called him jack. We used to hang together quite a lot when we were kids . We had loads of fun together....I always kidded him about his curley hair and how jealous I was of that.we went around like Mutt and Jeff...going to miss him...I know you have a heavy heart at this time . Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I'm am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Lamoureux was my math teacher in the 4th grade at East School. In fact, I still have my "Super Duper Test" that I scored a 100 on. He was always remembered as an influencial teacher in my life. As I am a teacher myself now, I only hope that I can make a mark on as many lives as he did.
Many prayers,
Michelle (Collins)Racette

Barbara: My condolences on the passing of John. I remember John very well during our high school days. I thank him and you for his Air National Guard service in the early 1960's. I am sure he will be remembered as an outstanding teacher by many of his students.

Barbara, I am so sorry for your loss. Some of the best times in my life were playing Tennis with the "net ranger". We were partners and friends for so many years before we moved to NC. Again my sincerest condolences.

Spending my childhood in your home, you were like a second family to me when I was growing up. Dunkin Donuts the morning after a sleep over, Santa at Christmas, wide open spaces to run and play. Thank you for those. Jack is loved and will be missed.
