To the Family of John: My heart goes out to your family as I am reading the obituary column from the Patriot Ledger in Quincy (Merrymount), MA. Our family, the Corbins, think of all of our old neighbors as time goes by. The Corbins on Neponset Road

We will all miss John at the Break the Chain meetings. He had a wonderful way of speaking and really loved life. After reading his obituary, I realised I may have also met him at the Kerryman Pub. I'll drink a glass to his memory at Fiddlers.

Nancy I am so sorry to hear about the death of your wonderful husband. I miss those fun days when Nancy, Nancy, Carlin and myself played tennis in your backyard. John was a great and giving person as are you. And both of you have been such an asset to the SMM community over the years. Peggy Sweeney Dennig

Many are called; few are chosen. John was truly a "chosen" one. Those of us in "Break The Chain" will sorely miss his wit, charm, enthusiasm for his beloved Red Sox and his puppy, Sean. He was a happy man who enjoyed life to it's fullest. God bless him. Terry Spires

Oh John and family, how I shall miss seeing your smiling face coming through the door to our Break the Chain support group. You were such fun. As a group we shared laughter, ups & downs & genuinely tried to help one another in the quest to become smokefree. I will always remember you bringing in your new puppy to show me. I will miss teasing you about the color of your socks & whether they were staying up. The group was very disturbed to hear what happened to you. We had a moment of silence for you & they want a picture of you to keep as a part of the group. I am sorry you were taken at this time, yet grateful for the life you lived, especially your recent trip to Ireland. You no longer have to fight. I enjoyed helping you & know that you were sincere in your desire to become smokefree. You are missed already. We will continue the fight. With sympathy to the living, Anne Lareau RRT, Florida Hospital, Break the Chain Support Group
