Wilfred Danielson

On March 9, 2018, I wrote a tribute that began: "Congratulations to Cousin John for his great life." Because my name was not shown, I'll add it now. John and I both worked at Northwestern University, but at different times and levels. He certainly had a distinguished career and life. In 2005 we both enjoyed a genealogy project. My tribute appeared next to my sister Evelyn Ternstrom's, who suggested the project. With thankfulness for the memory of Dr. John A. Larson, Jr. Wilfred Danielson, Arlington, Virginia

I am honored to be a cousin of such a gifted, giving gentleman who was also an humble, serving person. As an adult, my husband Ray and I visited with John and Phyllis and enjoyed John's graciousness and conversation. We were in North Carolina for our son's graduation from training for the Special Forces. May God comfort all who knew and loved John and bless the memories of him and celebration of his life.

Congratulations to Cousin John for his great life. As a librarian at Northwestern after he was there, I was glad to sign his Ph.D. dissertation and to buy a copy of his "Individual Freedoms and the Businessman." Years later, I enjoyed John's correspondence for a genealogy project. He wrote in his 2005 Christmas letter that it was "an interesting venture and a kind of voyage of discovery." Blessings on John's soul, family, and many former students, colleagues, and friends.
