John and I were classmates at Porter Township. We were also studymates. There are so many stories in our lives that I could list, but this guest book in not the appropriate venue. Winnie was always in love with John. While John often teased her, he also loved her very much. Our families could not be really close due to the distance between our residences, but he and his family were in my thougths almost on a weekly basis. I will miss my friend. May God Grant unto his Winnie and her family Eternal Memory!

Dear Winnie, LeAnne, Scott, Michael and all of the Leuschner Family,
There aren't words to express my deep heartfelt sympathy to you during this sad, sad time. I grew up with all of you being a huge part of my life and although our blood ties aren't that close, each of you have been more than FAMILY for as long as I can recall. I will always remember John as one of the most influential men in my life as I look back to the countless vacations at the shore and weekends at camp. In my eyes, John *was* my Uncle and I loved him very, very much. I will always remember his strength, the love he had for his family and easy smile when things amused him. My prayers are with each of you and I know God will help you to heal as you face the days ahead. Love,

I was reading the Republican on line as I do every day on my lunch hour and saw John's obituary. John came to Delaware to work at General Motors with a group that included my Dad. They all shared an apartment. My Dad's name was Walter Kovalevich and he has since passed on. I remember when John got the opportunity to go to GMI and how happy my Dad was for him. I believe when his wife came down they bought a house in Sherwood Park. I am glad to see how far he went with the education that GM gave him. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I am sorry for your loss.

John will always be remembered with love and affection by my entire family but especially by me. I am fortunate to have known John all of my life. I admired who he was and all he had accomplished. John was indeed one of the “Good Guys” a man of integrity and honor. I loved him as I do all of you and I share in your grief at his passing.
The Abikasis Family,
Laurie, Michael, Gabi, Daniel, Adam and Alex.
