Dr. Levisky was such an inspiration to me as I launched out on my own academic journey. He made me believe that I could actually understand stastistics--and pass the class.

Reading the previous entries makes it clearly evident that everyone who was fortunate enough to know Dad, truly loved him as we did! He lived his life...as we all should! Was kind and generous beyond words. My sons are blessed to have him as their Grandpa! From playing trains with them to mentoring them as young men...he was incredibly devoted! We were all so blessed to have our lives touched by this incredible man!

It was my good fortune to have Jack as a fellow faculty member at York College. He was alway willing to help whenever asked and it was a blessing to have him on the faculty. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Dr. Levisky's smile and helpfulnuss really made statistics class at 8am a nice way to start my day. Since I started at York College, he has been spoken so highly of by every person that has mentioned his name. All of his students could tell he loved his job and working with us. Much love to his family and friends. My son and I are going to name our next H-O setup "The Levisky Line". - J. Rivers YCP, 2012

Jack, you were my inspiration, my mentor, my best-man, my friend. You will forever be in my heart and in my life. Together we with a few others created the first York College Anthropology Club after a day, in the rain and mud. You and Caillie having cocoa and Butterscotch Krimpets together while I ran to a class and the many, many hours in the lab or your office debating something.
Love to you always,
Scott A. Walters

Jack, you will always be my very first "big brother," and I will always remember going upstairs in your parents' home, getting you and Ceil out of bed, and then you allowing me to dip your egg sandwich into your coffee before your eating it. You were one of "da baays (the boys) next door who I always looked up to. You will be missed.
