I remember John with affection tinged with nervousness, from the days he covered the Legislature. I remember him with respect for the way he represented Alberta.

To the Lindblad Family:
We met John at Monarch Jewellers many years ago, and it was delight to have him stop and chat and do business with us frequently.
He was very informative and always very positive and happy. You have lost a great family member.

I worked with John at the Edmonton Journal in the early 1970s. He was a political correspondent and I was a humble copy editor on the night desk. He was a tough, straight-talking, hard-working newsman. Printing ink was in his blood. Sadly, they don't make 'em like that anymore. My condolences to his family.

Mark and Family,
Although I did not know your father personally, it is obvious that the world has lost a truly great man. My deepest condolences go out to you in this time of sorrow.
Take care,
