Loretta and family
My deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss.
John and I were boyhood friends from the neighborhood whose parents came from the same village in Italy. We spent a lot of time together with the "guys" from the
neighborhood playing our pick up basketball and baseball games at Brandegee school playground memories of fun and "arguments" on the outs and fouls. Many pleasant memories of Proctor also.
You may not remember me my father was the shoe repairman on Kossuth Ave between Jay and Bleecker St. John and I also worked at Trevisani's grocery a fun time especially when delivering groceries together in the old station wagon. The years have gone by but the memories still linger of old friends and good times.
My thoughts and prayers to all.

I am deeply sorrowed by the loss of my friend John Loconto. He was one of a kind, and I will miss being able to talk with him. I will miss his contagious smile and his chuckling laugh. I will miss his calling me by a his jokingly contorted pronunciation of my name. I will miss discussing his family with me and the things his children and grandchildren were doing. I will always remember the loving bond and devotion he and Loretta enjoyed with all of them. I will always remember the time we shared talking and laughing together -- first as colleagues at IBM and later as friends who shared interests in music and songwriting. I also will miss his kidding me on a regular basis about my brand of politics and the differences we had in views. John will always have a special place in my memory and I will deeply miss his presence.

Loretta and Family,
I am sorry to learn of your loss of John, he was such a gentleman and friend, his smile and laugh was contiguous, I truly will miss speaking with him when we met over the years at our Proctor reunions. I will never forget John thanking me for my service as a veteran of Vietnam, how he knew I served there is still unknown to me. I told him that he was only a few members of my class of 1961 that ever mention my service, but that was John, I guess he keep track of his friends,
Rest In Peace John and The Sun Shine on you in the Arms Of God.
