John Henery Lopez

John was born on the Island to parents Raymond and Nelda, March 21, 1955. He developed a wander lust at an early age, traveling the high seas after graduating from Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship in Piney Point Md. His adventures continued as a traveling welder, working on many pipelines including Alaskan and California pipeline. He chose to make Bakersfield as his home creating a welding company as well as a very successful welding school from which he retired.

Survivors include: Nanett, wife Children: Garrett, Tyler, Harley, Hannah, Izzie Grandchildren: Bria and Royce Siblings: Carlene, Susan, Raymond Jr., Neva, Bobby, Luanne, brother by choice: Billy Gribble. As well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him: Grandparents, parents, stepparents, brother: Walter.

John loved riding his Harley, spinning a good yarn, his dogs and flirting with all the girls.
