I had the great opportunity of meeting John Luckadoo at the Dallas airport in the spring of 2024. He was going to Minneapolis to speak about his experiences. I was going home to Michigan after a brief visit with my daughter. He needed to rest before going through security and decided to take the seat next to me. We talked...What an experience! Unbelieveable!

My heart goes out to Lucky´s family. Words can´t express how grateful I am for ALL he sacrificed and endured to provide me with the life
I´ve been able to live. His amazing legacy, filled with heroism, is a testament to his courage...strength...and selflessness while enduring horrific events to provide a better life for future generations. Thank you, Lucky... and thank you to your family for sharing you with all of us!

It was my great honor to meet Mr. Luckadoo a few years ago. In the time I was able to spend with him, it was obvious that, besides being a man of tremendous grit and courage, he was also a gentleman with a kind and open heart. His biography,"Damn Lucky", illuminates those qualities and is emblematic of the drive and character of his generation. John Luckadoo will be missed by many.
