Growing up in the Luisi family means that all your aunts & uncles are like extended parents, and cousins like additional brothers and sisters. What a bonus! Uncle Johnny had a special place in my heart. Gina and I became (and still are) close because of this. Losing a father is difficult and at times seems impossible to deal with. I know. There is great joy in the knowledge of how important your father was in your life and the lives of others. I thank God that Uncle Johnny was part of my life and my family.

I still can't believe you are gone. You were a wonderful man whose life was an example for all of us to follow. The time with you was too short, but the suffering was too long. I know you are in heaven now and at peace and I know that heaven is even better for having your spirit there. God rest your eternal soul my precious father. I will always think of you with deep affection. Until we meet again... I love you Dad...
