John Lundquist Obituary

Published by San Jose Mercury News/San Mateo County Times on Dec. 8, 2017.
John Peter Lundquist
April 23, 1946 - November 11, 2017
Resident of Menlo Park
John Peter Lundquist died peacefully from cancer on November 11, 2017 with his family by his side.
John was born in Rockford, Illinois to Gunnard and Eleanor Lundquist. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a Masters in Business Administration, he began his 30 year career with the County of San Mateo Assessor's Office. John retired in 2004.
John's greatest joy was his family. He poured endless love into his marriage, children, and grandchildren. The loss of his values, his compassion, and his zany sense of humor will be felt by all. The family has honored him privately, per his wishes.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Cheryl; daughter Heather Gentner (Blake); son David Lundquist; grandsons Brody and Wyatt Gentner; and sisters Kristine Lundquist and Karen Armstrong (Bob).

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Hopefully reflecting on all the good times you've shared together will help ease the pain that you feel. May "the God of all comfort" strengthen you at this time of sadness, and may His promise for the future bring you peace. Hosea 13:14.
