Professor John Lynch

As a postgraduate student on Colonial Peru, I could not have asked for more academic inspiration and discipline and moral support than from John Lynch as tutor. I owe much of my later career as academic and diplomat to him. A most generous hearted man.

A great leader in the field of Latin American history. He left a deep track in the field.

Professor John Lynch has had a great influencie in our Academic institutions. Ás a Mexican historian who had the privilegie of being his gradúate student at the University of London I have always tried to follow his example: a historian dedicated to the search for truth, objective, honest, whose many books and articles are now classic works of historiography.
The legacy of Professor Lynch Will endure in our Hispanic World everywhere Studies of Spain and Iberoamérica exist.
We will miss his kíndness,wisdom and dedication to research.
