John Madigan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 5, 2012.
John J. Madigan 94 of Lauderhill, Florida formerly of Chicago, Illinois passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at his home in Florida. John was born in Chicago on January 11, 1918 to John and Ann Madigan. (Karen) Madigan and James F. Madigan; grandchildren Lily Harris, Kim (Chris) Ennis, and Megan (Michael) Baer; great-grandson Sean Ennis. John Madigan changed my life during a chance meeting in the hallway at CBS in 1982, and I will be forever grateful to him for that. I took those words, and passed them along to my sons as they were growing up, and they are better men because of him. I was able to write him and thank him several years ago, and still have the letter he wrote back to me. My deepest condolences to the Madigan family on the loss of John.

My sincere condolences to Betty and the Madigan family. Red was a true one-of-a-kind. He was so smart, always prepared and asked the best questions on any show where I was an invited panelist. And he checked out facts, a lost art in today's media. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to all of the Madigans. I still remember when you all moved in down the block on Luella -- and your dad drove that remarkable baby blue T-bird! Do I remember correctly that your dog's name was Lady? (Ours was Missy....) It's hard to believe that was all more than 50 years ago!
