For 30 years, John was my friend and brother-in-arms. Devoted to his family, his art, his music and his city: talented, nurturing, compassionate, trusted and loyal. A better friend, I've never had. Always willing to help and always with a smile. I'm so glad you came into my life. You are loved by many and missed by all.

John Martinez was a very special ART teacher. He would walk into the classroom carrying all kinds of objects! Some huge! His idea was for us to not only see these objects but to feel, touch, compare!
John wanted each of us to really learn! We were not allowed to be mediocre...! He certainly wasn't so we would give him our best!
John will certainly be missed in this old world. He was something special! Gloria John was so proud of you and loved you so !

Gloria and family, I am very sorry to hear about John's passing, I was lucky enough to know him socially and initially through his JAM design business. He was always kind, peaceful, easy going, enthusiastic and passionate about his music, art, and work. Never a bad word to say about anyone and by all appearances, had a very blessed life. He was a man of many artistic talents that I admired which left me in awe and blessed to witness so many of them. Just wish it wasn't so many years ago that I last shared some time with him.
