John Douglas McLaughlin

Dr. John has been a part of my life for 22 years and the only doctor my children have known. He was always reassuring and caring and took the time to listen. My heart goes out to the family and I share in your loss. Dr John was a wonderful man and will be missed but he left behind a legacy and wonderful memories.

Dr. Mac was the kindest, gentlest man I have ever know. He held my hand through some very hard times and I always knew he would be there for me and mine. As much as I'll miss him I can only imagine the loss that is felt by his family.



May the Lord guide and comfort each of you during your time of grief.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time of sorrow. Dr. Mac was my (Nancy) doctor since I was a little girl; I'm now in my 40s. He treated my children, ages 4 and 1, and he will be missed. He was a very compassionate man.

Dr Mac has been our family physician for over 20 years. He delivered my youngest son almost 18 years ago. Whenever an urgent need arose, he would always find time to see us. His unique sense of humor eased tensions during examinations. Through countless ear infections and cases of strep, he would tell us, "I can write a ten day prescription for some antibiotics... or give him a fast acting shot". With the threat of the dreaded needle, they never missed taking the pills.



The McLaughlin family and friends are in our thoughts during this sad time. We will miss him. He was a good man.

Dr. McLaughlin was the greatest healer I ever met. With a touch of his hand, or a kindly smile, he made my fears vanish. He treated me for many years, and several members of my family, and a number of friends. No other doctor ever measured up to him. He was a mentor and friend while I was in medical school, and his son is a cherished friend and colleague. The world is a better place for having had him in it. Dr. M., you are so loved and missed!

Dr. Mac was a giant among men and will be sorely missed by those who had the priviledge of calling him their physician and friend. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.

Dr. Mac saw me for the first time when I was in 9th grade for a school physical. I was a patient for so many years that I saw his son grow up and begin practicing with him. They both have seen me through some major illnesses in my life and I will be eternally greatful to them both. I will always measure every other doctor I have in my life to the standards that Dr.Mac had. They will be hard to top. Your entire family is in our prayers. May God comfort you at this time.

Our sympathies are with your family. Dr. Mac helped Dr. Penn deliver my twins, Krista and David, in February 1969 so we have known him so many years. I always trusted his guidance with the raising of my children, his expertise in treating their illnesses and enjoyed his humor. We will miss him so very much.

Our condolences to Dr. McLaughlin's family. Dr. McLaughlin was my (Elaine's) doctor for about 29 years. Through the years, through several serious illnesses, Dr. McLaughlin showed his dedication and his concern and his love for his patients and the medical profession. He was a kind, sympathetic, and honest man as well as a competant doctor. We will miss him.

His gentle touch, and his kind and warming greetings will be remembered and cherished forever. We all loved hearing his stories of the great outdoor trips with his son Doug. He made us forget the reason we were at his office to see him. Our Prayers and thoughts are with his wonderful family.
