John Meche Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 16, 2024.
Jack Meche, 34, of Dallas, Texas, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 3, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on February 26, 1990, in Plano, Texas to Renee Sims and Robert Meche.

Jack graduated from JJ Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and A honor roll. He subsequently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. After graduation, he worked at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas in Hotel Presby and in the Pharmacy. In 2014, Jack found his last and forever job working as a general bankruptcy analyst at Real Time Resolutions in Dallas.

Jack was a kind, sensitive soul with a heart of gold. He was an incredible person who would do anything for those closest to him. He was loving and protective, so cherished because he gave his love to others. Jack was brilliant, yet humble and self-aware. He was fair, diplomatic and understanding. With him, you were safe to express yourself without judgment or retribution. His compassion for his friends, family and his two beloved cats was genuine and abundant. Lastly, Jack was generous and altruistic, giving to others, asking nothing in return.

Jack is survived by his mother Renee Sims, father Robert Meche, stepfather Richard Sims, stepmother Paula Meche, sisters Ally and Caroline Meche, grandmothers Willa Bose and Gerry Meche, grandfather Jim Meche and step-grandparents Ed and Marjorie Thieman. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Leonard Bose, step-grandparents Lester and Dorothy Sims and step-grandmother Joanne Thieman. Jack loved and cherished his many cousins and their families, his large extended family and his wide circle of friends.

A memorial service in honor of Jack will be held on Saturday, May 25th, at 3:00 pm at the Allen Family Funeral Options Funeral Home located at 2112 Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made in Jack's name to Operation Kindness: https://www.operationkindness.org/make-a-memorial-gift

We were in English class, and our teacher made a point about a certain word not being used before a certain page... Jack raised his hand and quoted the page it was used on before, and spoke out the line. While it may have been embarrassing for the teacher, it was gold for the class. His memory was unreal. It was so unforgettable as a moment, and a lot of us just marveled at his capacity.

Dear Rick and Renee.
I loved reading about Jack. I only wish I could have known this sweet man in person. He reminds me so much of my grandchildren. So sorry that he was taken from us so young.

I'll never forget our practicing with our bokken (wood swords) during a visit while he was still in school and living at home. We were a fine pair of Samurai in training and having a great time. I know he had many and finer experiences, but it was a moment in time that I will always remember and associate with the young Jack.
