A great coach, but more importantly, a great man of generous spirit and a huge heart!

I lost my father when I was 13 years old. I met coach Mehr when I was going into my senior year at Loyola High School. Coach Mehr was much more than my coach. He became my father figure and a role model for the rest of my life after Loyola. A great man who I will miss dearly. God speed, Sir & rest in the Peace of Christ. See ya later, Coach.

Coach Tracy Mehr was a fine man and excellent coach. I was able to write him some years ago on the occasion of his retirement from Amherst College. He was my ski coach (yes, skiing!) the only season of '70-'71 that I was able to participate on the team. I recall getting to know Carol that winter. She is lovely and I send my condolences to the entire family. I was unaware of his accomplishments in golf and as I have now taken up the game wish my beloved coach could help me one more time with my swing.

My sincere condolences to the family of Tracy. I was Tom Toski's Asst.Pro at Hickory Ridge C.C. in Amherst where Tracy was a member and when he won the State Am. I remember a special moment to me when he came to me one day and showed me his new Ping clubs. He wanted my opinion and we tried them out together. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and I'm sure he will be dearly missed. May God bless you all.
