My sympathy to you and your family. Pastor John was my confirmation pastor at Trinity-Gaylord. What a wonderful voice to praise the Lord! May your memories comfort you.

To The Family and Friends of Pastor John:

I wish to extend prayers, love, support, and compassion to all of you. Our dear mother Luella Erickson (we miss her terribly)spent her last days at a nursing home in New Brighton. All during her ordeal with breast cancer, brain cancer, the surgeries, the stroke (that would later send her to heaven to be with the Lord) Pastor John was with her. He prayed with her and sang with her. He was also there for all of us. Even when some of us were in denial about what would become of her, he gently reminded us that "Thy Will Be Done." If God wanted to heal her body in heaven, then we had to let her go. Now Pastor John, our dear mother, and countless others who have gone to heaven are singing eternal praises. There bodies have been replaced by heavenly bodies. Bodies that can never get sick, bodies that can run, play, sing, laugh, fly, and never have to worry about anything ever again. They are FREE! Praise you father. Thank You Pastor John! We will miss you. You truly loved and served the Master. Thank You!

Linnea and family--The realization that John is no longer with us hit me today in church during the singing of "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms". The baritone voice in the chorus was not there today. What a gift to have known John, and his presence will always be remembered by those who lives he touched. Praise be to God!

My sympathies to Linnea and family.

I was in elementary school when John served at Trinity Lutheran. I remember him teaching us songs during Vacation Bible School and I can still remember most of those songs. He was an enthusiatic singer!

My sympathy to John's family. What a wonderful person he was and always so gracious to our family. My aunt, Lorraine Solberg, thought so much of him. They are together now enjoying the kingdom of God. May you be filled with comfort and peace. I'm out of town, or would certainly be at the funeral.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Miskowiec family. Pastor John was so dear to our family and was such a special family friend. We thank God for the love he showed our family when our mother (Pat Burness) passed away March 18th. I am thankful that I was in Minneapolis on June 29th and was able to see him with my father at Mercy Hospital before he passed away. I will always be thankful that I was able to say a prayer for him as he did for my mother at Mercy before she passed away. Our family was honored to have known him. He has a special place in the heavenly choir now.

Linnea my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am going to miss John. His unconditional love and support was there whenever I needed it. It seemed his e-mails always came with a message I most needed to hear and were so timely. He was a great friend and wonderful man. May God give you peace at this time.
