John Daniel Moore, born on November 25, 1932, passed away at the age of 91 on October 15, 2024, in Edgewater, FL. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his straightforward, honest demeanor and a life rich in dedication to his family and service to his country.

John attended Ballston Spa High School before joining the US Air Force, where he served with the 52nd Air Rescue Squadron of the 6th Air Rescue Group from 1952 to 1956. His military tenure was distinguished by a commitment to his squadron and the broader goals of the Air Force during a time of global tension.

Following his military service, John embarked on a dual career path. From 1967 to 1989, he was a computer operator at Hofstra University, paralleling these years with a professional driving career, showcasing his versatility and work ethic.

John was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kings Park, NY. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and interactions with those around him.

In his personal life, John was a devoted husband to his wife, Luba Moore, and a loving father to his son, Steven Moore, and daughter-in-law, Monika Moore. He was a cherished grandfather to Hollis and Nathaniel Moore. John was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ana Moore; his brother, Anthony Moore; and his wife, Maria L. Moore.

John's hobbies reflected his adventurous spirit; in his younger years, he enjoyed scuba diving and boating. Later, he could often be found playing darts or billiards, skills that no doubt mirrored his strategic and precise nature.

A service to honor John's life will be held on November 1st at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 1 Causeway N., New Smyrna Beach, FL, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. His life was a testament to the values he held dearintegrity, clarity, and devotion to family and community.
