John Moser played a major role in my life and is someone I will never forget. Without him, I would not have had a career in radio; from him taking a chance and hiring me as a part-time announcer with zero experience to, ultimately, news director. Along the way, John and I would occasionally bump heads, but I am grateful for all that I learned from him because of his dedication to professionalism and local news. One of my fondest memories was when John and I took the day to travel to a record store in Milwaukee to stock up on records for a new oldies show. I learned a lot that day about John, his growing up in Allenton, and his family. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

John hired me right after high school. It was like a dream to work in an official radio station and with people I grew up listening to on the radio. I am so grateful and I would not be where I am today without that opportunity.
John was an intelligent guy, who knew how to balance leadership, friendship, and be a great mentor. I am happy to have kept in touch with him since we first met.
God must have been listening to John's retirement broadcast and decided he needs a good man like John.
What a great guy who did so much for so many. Radio will miss him. I will miss him. So many memories. My sincere condolences to John's immediate and radio families. Rest in peace, John.

I'm so sorry, for your loss. John, was a mentor, & a friend to me. Every time I saw John out in the public, or even at an event, he always had a "Hi Big Jer", for me. My wife & I appreciate that John & Sue were at our wedding in Sheboygan, and were extremely upset when we heard about his passing. He will be greatly missed by all in the community, but especially by those he knew him well.

I was fortunate to first meet John through Bill McCollum who handled my parents business account when I was about 13-14 years old. He always took time to talk to this kid who looked at John and Bill as local hero's and honestly some 48 years later.....they still are and always will be. John was a friend, a pillar of our community and just a wonderful human being. God Speed my friend.

I never had the pleasure of meeting John, but I can tell how wonderful he must have been just by knowing his amazing daughter Chelsea. We reflect the best parts of our parents thanks to the loving way they raised us. I wish you peace and comfort.

The man responsible for getting me into radio was named John Moser. He interviewed me, as a 4-Her at the County Fair and asked if I ever thought about doing radio as a career? He said he thought I had potential, but there was lots to learn including programming a computer for a sister automated station.

I trained for several months and then DJed for four years at WBEV/WXRO in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. John was my boss.

Last week I texted John congratulating him
on his retirement. He sent a very nice text in return. Sadly, this week he died. The world will miss this radio legend.

I was on the debate team with John at UW-Whitewater and we always enjoyed his antics. We both ended up going into broadcasting, me in Milwaukee and John in Beaver Dam. We kept in touch infrequently but it was always a delight to relive old times and discuss the state of broadcasting. He always said he preferred
being a big fish in a little pond - and he sure lived up to that! My condolences to his family and to the community he served so well. Lori Wucherer, South Milwaukee, WI

I just learned of John's passing from a mutual friend. Every time I saw John, he was always smiling and took time to talk and share stories of hunting and target shooting. I feel blessed to have known him and know he is resting in the presence of God's greatness.

John and I worked together for over 30 years as my store, Piggly Wiggly did a lot of advertising on the two radio stations. When we joined up with six other Piggly Wigglys to do radio advertising John was our contact person, in fact he named our group the magnificent seven, plus he did all of the commercials himself.
He was the perfect person for the job, always upbeat, always courteous, always willing to go the extra mile for us and all of his clients.I will remember him as one of the best that I have worked with in my fifty years as a store owner.
