Grandpa, you will be missed and loved dearly. You always knew how to make us laugh and as kind as you could be. You will always be in our hearts now and forever.

To Barbara and family,
Growing up my siblings and I always referred to John as uncle John.
So many of my childhood memories contain him. We visited the lake often swimming, boating, ski mobiling, ice skating and the bonus !riding in his airplane. His generosity and laughter always made you feel welcomed and loved. When he would fly by(literally) and come for a visit he never did stand still too long so you treasured his time. He always seemed so full of life -in -motion it's hard to grasp his passing.
I will miss him very much as will so many other people. He was the best man you could ever have the pleasure of knowing.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Our neighborhood will never be the same. For the 30 years I have lived on the lake, Johnny has always been part of that. His kindness, his smile, and just his way with people. He had a plane when I frist moved here and I remember him taking off and watching with awe... He made me feel like part of the lake family from the first time we met. I remembered how he made my mother feel welcome at the senior center when no one else even spoke to her. Heaven is a very lucky place to have such a great man now there. My prayers are with his family and my heart is aching.

We love and miss you Grandpa. Our thoughts are always with you. You touched our lives in so many ways and we are thankful for the joys you've brought to us all. A wonderful man has left us here, but we know you are in a beautiful place smiling and watching over us all.

We love you,
your grandchildren Jeremy & Laura and great-grandsons Camron, Ryan & Braeden
XOXOXO

Sorry for your loss Babara. John was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He gave me my nickname The Gopher when I was around 12 helping my dad build a garage and apartment for my grandfather and I referered to him as uncle John throughout the years. I wished I visited John more over the past few years but I sure was thinking of him from time to time more often when I saw a small plane flying. I loved are fishing trips with John and my Dad they were always eventful with a story or two. I thought John would live forever he was sure young at heart and loved life. Everyone who knew him will miss him.
