He used to sit in the front office at the Pawtucket Police Department with us and read the New York Times.

I already signed the guestbook but I guess it does not hurt to add. I was on the Pawtucket Police Dept. when Judge Mutter was the Municipal Court Judge. He used to sit in the front office of the station and talk to us police officers. When I got married he performed the ceremony.

Rest in Peace Judge Mutter. You were a force to be reckoned with

Dear Bonnie, I heard from Alma about John's passing just before Christmas. I'm so sorry for your loss. I was really appreciative of you both coming to my mom's memorial in June. Thinking of you at this sad time.

A wonderful Judge and Dog man - always ready to serve. Thoughts are with Bonnie and family - he will be missed.

John was devoted to the Providence County Kennel Club. His leadership was a model for all of us. I am grateful for his contributions to the sport of dogs. He was a fine gentleman and we will miss him.

An appearance before Judge Mutter in Family Cout was always a
pleasant experience. One could always be assured that they
would get a fair trial.. Judge Mutter brought to the bench the
wisdom acquired from his many years of practice.. A wisdom
informed by his keen sense of justice, fairness and compassion.
In a sense, he set the standard. My sympathy to the entire
Mutter family on the occasion of his passing.

John was a great guy and a good friend to us over many years. Peggy and I will be out of town and unable to attend the services but want to extend our sincere condolences to the Mutter family. John will be sadly missed by all.

I conducted Trials in front of him in the Family Court as an attorney. He was a very fair Judge. I wish to express my condolences to his family & friends at this time.

I miss the cheering on of the PC Friars basketball team with Bonnie and Judge John. That memory will last forever as well as the fondness I have of both John and Bonnie. God rest his sole.

Judge Mutter was the first person I thought of to perform our wedding ceremony in 1989. Before that I remember him when he was a Municipal Court Judge in Pawtucket and used to visit us at the police station. I respected him greatly. He was truly a wonderful individual.
