I worked with John for a short time while I was on a temporary assignment at Winchester in the early eighties. I haven't seen for thirty years but have never forgotten his great smile, raucous sense of humor and his ridiculously funny giggle! He knew how to enjoy himself, and he spread his joie de vivre to those around him.

We had many fabulous conversations about the joys of Middle Eastern cuisine and I never fail to think of him when I eat baklava or stuffed grape leaves!

John was a lovely man and I feel blessed to have known him.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.
