John was known for his academic and athletic excellence in high school, where he was a classmate of mine. In later years we always had a good time visiting with him and Karen at class reunions. He was a wonderful guy.

John, we still remember your easy going and friendly personality. My wife, June, joined you 11 months after you left us. There aren't many of us left from the class of 1949. We were blessed with great teachers and classmates. Thanks for being a good friend.

John was a 'favorite relative' in our family. He enjoyed sharing the news of our Mother - Florence Nelson Kennedy - with the news of her brother
(Oscar) and sister (Nellie) who were still in Clinton and Ortonville.
Oscar - John's Father - was Mother's brother. He and Karen always tried to keep their family ties.
God Bless Karen, Kent, Brad and Patti - and their spouses and their children. May you always know your Dad was a loving and loved man.
God Bless Each of You.
Love from us, Irv and Janet (Kennedy) Thomas

John was a high school classmate who was very intelligent, athletic, and friendly. We have enjoyed visiting with John and Karen at the class reunions and will miss him. Our sympathy and love to Karen and family.
