So sorry to hear,
Over the last few years I had become Mr Paxtons tv repair man and friend. I hadn't heard from him for the last few months, and had wondered where my friend was. Then I was truly saddened to learn of his passing. Such a kind and thoughtful soul, always eager to know the health and well being of my wife and son. I am sorry sorry now for his wife and families loss. He was a great soul and the memory of his soft voice and kind words will stay with me. Good bye old friend.

Dear Mary Lou, Bob, Bill, Steve and Ann,
As a member of the Paxton Lumber family for thirty five years, I can recall many memorable stories in my association with John. He was a unique and rare individual who went all all out to remember names and show the utmost courtesy to everyone with whom he came in contact. I always remember his response when I told him he looked especially dapper. In his kindness, he said "Just trying to keep up with you". A true gentleman and he will be missed by many.
God Bless you all,
Roy Jackson

It was an honor to get to know John, as well as work with him. Every time he came on set his smile illuminated the room. I had many of conversations with him and I felt more inspired each time we talked. He sure loved the root beer. In a lot of ways, he reminded me of myself and I will always be thankful for my time shared with him. RIP buddy and may your smile shine down on us all.

I have thought of John and all the Paxtons through the years with great pleasure. I was saddened to read of John's passing in the morning paper. I invite all the Paxtons to come back to your old house on Byers anytime. I have a great guesthouse where your garage used to be!
I hope to see you soon. JOE MINTON

Steve, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know it has been a long time since we saw each other but I always considered you a good friend back in elementary school in Aledo and always thought fondly of your family. We lived on Walsh Ranch and I still have a gift you gave me.
Again, my condolences to you and your family and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
