John Edward "Eddie" Paxton, passed away at home August 15, 2018.
Member of Cherry Street Church of God Sanctified. Son of the late Edward and Pauline Sharp Paxton.
Retired from Lakeshore Mental Health Institute.
Survived by sisters, Mary (Ben) Tobin, Loretta (Mark) McCalla; brothers, James (Treska) Paxton, Joseph Paxton; aunt, Fannie Paxton; a host of nieces and nephews; one great great niece.
Family will receive friends, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday at Jarnigan's Chapel; funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Elder Eric Satterfield, Officiating.
Interment Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, TN.

Brother John, although six years have rapidly past you are forever present in my heart. I cannot see you anymore, but I think of you often. In fact, if you were here, we would be celebrating Momma's 101st birthday. And we would also be celebrating Momma and Daddy's wedding anniversary. Time flies but I will always cherish the memories of you and the occasions we shared. Sometimes when I think about you it brings tears to my eyes. Then I have to stop and realize that the Lord did the absolute best for you when He called you home. I MISS YOU Brother John!!!! Love, your baby sister Loretta.

Brother John, I can't believe it's been 5 years since you departed. Although you're no longer here physically, you're ALIVE in my heart and thoughts. I MISS YOU SO MUCH!! I know you're in a better place but I'm selfish. I wish you were still here with me. It brings tears to my eyes but that's ok. Jesus took you home and someday I will see you again. Brother John, I MISS YOU!!!! One might say why send a message to you when you're gone. Well, because I KNOW you are still with me. Eternity is more real than time on earth. It's only the distance that keeps us separate. Although you left without saying goodbye, I will always hold you near and dear to my heart! I can't believe it has almost been 3 years.
