Dear Maureen, Carolyn, Kathy, and Bill:

It was sad to read that your Dad had passed away. I last saw him in the mid '90's at a Bangor Rotary Club meeting I was attending as a visiting Rotarian from Philadelphia. My Dad died in 1985 and my Mom followed in 1994. We moved back to Bangor from Philadelphia in 1999 after a 25 year period. We have five children, Patty is married, John is in the Navy, Melvin is in college, and Jim and Jean are still at home.

We will keep your Dad in our prayers.

Maureen, Carolyn, Bill and Kathy,

Eddie Gerow emailed me of your father's passing. . .rather the General's. . .as I called him when we were kids at Chemo Pond.

I never appreciated his standards until I joined the US Army. Now I understand why your shoes had to be spit/shined (polished) before going to Church each week.

Please share my condolesences with all your family members.

Maybe I'll see you in Maine sometime soon.

I am so sorry to hearing of the passing of your Dad. I have alot of wonderful ( and funny) memories of your parents and the Pesch family from our time together in Jr. high and high school.

Hello -

I am so sorry to hear of "Uncle John's" passing. He was a great man and one of my dad's best friends....and Mom adored him! I have wonderful memories of him, your mom..........and some of you kids, however a bit more vague!!

With each passing of a great soldier, the end of an era approaches us. We surely were lucky to have such wonderful fathers.

I am proud.

Love to you all....Martha Tukey

I am so glad we were able to see Uncle John at the Pesch family reunion. I remember as a child going to his camp in Maine. He was an inspiration to all of us and one of the reasons I joined the Navy. He will be greatly missed.

My sister Martha also wants to send her love.

As a family the Tukey's are very sad. I have not told my Mom yet, as she has wondered what happened to him since the stange call from him on her May 19 birthday when he was in an ambulance or something. Mom has some dementia so the story is foggy. I always thought of him as Uncle John and so enjoyed his smile and sense of humor. He was at Dad's funeral and did such a wonderful job with the eulegy. Dad would have done the same for John.

I will tell Mom about his death. Does he have anything special he would have liked to have a donation to?

You can call or E-Mail me.

Maureen, Carolyn, Kathy and Billy,
I remember the great times we had when you came to visit summers with Aunt Celia and Aunt Hazel. You had wonderful parents and I mourn the loss of both of them from your lives.
Please accept my sincerest sympathies,
