John Pfeiffer Obituary

John Grover Pfeiffer, 63, died Nov. 23, 2006, of a heart attack following months of illness. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served one tour in Korea. Pfeiffer retired after 20 years of dedicated service. John and his wife, Delores, and family resided in Stafford's Aquia Harbour for 19 years before moving recently to Woodbridge. The Pfeiffer's hosted Christmas parties for neighborhood children for many years in their home. He is survived by his wife, Delores; son, Kenneth E. Pfeiffer and daughter-in-law Kristine M. Pfeiffer; two grandsons, Kevin J. Pfeiffer and Konnor M. Pfeiffer; and a sister, Carolyn Hall of Billing, MI. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lenore Stratz of Westland, MI; and a brother, Robert Pfeiffer of Tarrant, AL. In recent years he worked mainly in the Stafford area in the home improvement business. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 13201, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301. The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA 22193, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
