I was the General Manager at Interstate Batteries Baton Rouge while John was employed there. It goes beyond saying that John taught me more things than I could ever impart on him. I am shocked to have just learned of John's passing and am grateful that we reconnected in 2018 for some long conversations. I never viewed John as an employee, but rather as a partner and friend. We had some legendary trips to Talladega and Dallas for NASCAR races-always coming back with stories that lasted forever. I wouldn't travel to a race without John's presence. John you were a good man May God please comfort him and keep him in His embrace.

My name is David Gray and I worked with John @ Interstate Battiers in the early 2000s and when I left to go work at another place John followed.John was one of my best friends of not my best friend who taught me alot about the Civil War lol but also what a genuine friend should be like. I had brain tumor surgery in August of 2019 and John came to see me when I was in recovery and I can't express how much that meant to Me. John and I used to work out at 430am I'm the morning at a gym in Baton Rouge and keep I mind John lived in Kentwood,LA but that's how John was when he committed to something he didn't care what it took to achieve he just did it. John and I went all over from Louisiana to Mississippi riding 4 wheeler trails and drinking beer having a blast. John was the big brother I never had and he truly was someone I looked up to and admired as a person because of his heart and friendship he showed Me the first day I started working at Interstate battery. We traveled to conventions for work and roomed together being the life of the party at night after out day was done getting to meet over 4000 other employees of the company. John and I bought sister chocolate lab pups having to drive to lavonia LA to buy them. John naned his pup Chewy because all it would so is chew up beer cans lol and I was very fond of 2 of his dogs he treated like people more than an animal and that was drifter and Spookie and anyone who knew John knew he had then with him every where he went and to this day I have dogs that I trest the same as I used John's methods to train my own. John and I had tons of memories over the 22 years that I knew him and their will never be another person to me like John Pierce. I'm very sorry I missed the services as I didn't know until a couple days after the services were conducted. I hope but I know John's family knew how great of a guy he was to everyone he met and if you were lucky enough to be called friend John valued you and let you know you were his friend. Fly high my friend and I'll miss you every day and not a day goes by that we don't think about you and my daughters here about some of our adventures and I even tell them about your cousin Vandy and all the great people I got to know in Kentwood,LA that I will cherish the memories for as long as I live and I'm sorry I didn't get to see you one more time brother but if I'm lucky to get thru the gates I'll see you again and hold me a spot so we can pick up where we left off my friend. Love you brother and miss you very much.

Oh want to give my respects to John's family and let them all know I'm praying for them,I met John in 2004 and we clicked from the start and never looked back . John was one of my best friends and he taught me quite a bit in the time we spent at interstate batteries where we both worked at the time and he invited me out to Kentwood to hid families place always testing me like family and I have to at he was like the older brother I never had and he would laugh at that because I always called him old man when we used to meet up at the gym at 330am to work out s few years ago. John and I had alot of great times going to national conventions for interstate batteries and boiling crawfish or outbpn the river or riding the creeks on 4 wheelers. John will always be in my heart and was one of the good guys the world let go to early and one of the best friends a person could have because guys like John pierce are rare and will be truly missed. Fly high brother and know you will live on in all who knew you. Love you brother rest in peace

I heard this morning in Sunday school about John passing. He was in my 9th grade homeroom at Spring Creek. He and Caleb White were so silly they were always making me laugh. I have fond memories of him that year. Always polite and of course, funny! Im so shocked to hear this. He was so young! Praying for all of his family asking God to put His arms around you and carry you through your grief with His perfect peace.

Anissa, there are no words. But I love you, am thinking of you every second and praying for you. Im here should you ever want to talk or have someone to just sit in silence with you. Me and you were always quite a pair when we all got together. All poor John could do was shake his head, laugh and roll with it. Remember all the good times because you and John had many. May God bless you in this time of need.

To the family, John was always a pleasure to be around with his goofy self! Always the life of the party. He was a real good friend to my boys, Carey and Shane Graham. They were always playing some kind of ball. We are sorry that we can not attend the celebration of life, but know he will always have a special place in our heart! We pray that God will be your comforter in days to come! God bless you all!!
